ETP Chief Says Ex-Biz Partner Broke Trust In Pipeline Deal

Law360, Dallas (February 13, 2014, 8:47 PM EST) -- Energy Transfer Partners LP's CEO told a Texas jury Thursday that the company was betrayed by a former partner who stole plans to build an Oklahoma-to-Gulf Coast crude oil pipeline in violation of industry standard practices.

ETP's Kelcy Warren said although he believed a partnership to build the 500-mile “Double E” pipeline with Houston-based Enterprise Products Partners LP was moving ahead full steam, he began to sense “something weird” going on after the companies extended the open season for the pipeline.
