Ford Says Evidence Of Antitrust Conspiracy Is Slim

Law360, New York (March 24, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a motion seeking dismissal from a multidistrict litigation alleging an antitrust conspiracy, Ford Motor Co. has admitted it met with rival automakers to discuss vehicle exports from Canada to the United States, but said the company executives did not agree to take any action at the meetings.

In the motion, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine, Ford said that the plaintiffs had no direct evidence of a conspiracy to block cheaper Canadian cars from reaching the U.S. market...
