First Wind Gets $206M In Financing For Texas Wind Project

Law360, New York (February 12, 2014, 6:23 PM EST) -- Renewable energy developer First Wind Inc. said Wednesday that it's received $206 million in financing for a 150-megawatt wind project it's currently building in Texas, the company's first renewable project in the Lone Star State.

First wind unit Route 66 Wind Power LLC closed on the financing agreement for the Route 66 Wind project, which is being constructed near Amarillo, Texas. Construction of the project began in late 2013, making it eligible for the now-expired federal renewable production tax credit, according to First Wind.
