Some EU Commissioners Wary Of Google Antitrust Deal

Law360, New York (February 13, 2014, 2:18 PM EST) -- Several members of the European Commission on Wednesday expressed concerns over last week's decision from the government's antitrust watchdog to close a three-year probe of Google Inc. after the search engine giant agreed to revamp its search results display.

The resistance became apparent after the nine commissioners concluded their weekly meeting in Brussels. Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier would not elaborate on the specifics of the discussion or the extent of the opposition but made it clear that the commission must debate the matter further....
