Lawmakers Say Feds Whitewashed NSA's Tabs On Congress

Law360, New York (February 13, 2014, 3:08 PM EST) -- House lawmakers on Wednesday accused a deputy U.S. attorney general of misrepresenting the way the federal government collects information on members of Congress.

Reps. Jim Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General James Cole saying his Feb. 4 testimony at a House Judiciary Committee hearing about the National Security Agency's collection of information on members Congress was not accurate and asking him to "provide clarification for the record."
