Wrongful Termination Suit Against John Wood Revived

Law360, New York (February 13, 2014, 7:45 PM EST) -- A Texas appeals court Thursday revived a wrongful termination lawsuit alleging international energy company John Wood Group PLC forced a former executive to falsify accounting records and overstate profits, reversing a lower court ruling in favor of the company after finding it had failed to support its argument.

A Fourteenth District Court of Appeals panel reversed the July 2012 order in favor of John Wood and its subsidiaries, letting Chief Financial Officer Joseph Peine’s wrongful discharge suit against heavy industrial turbine unit HIT Services LP continue...
