AT&T Appeals Order On Sidley's Blown Deadline In IP Case

Law360, New York (February 13, 2014, 6:52 PM EST) -- AT&T Inc. appealed to the Federal Circuit on Thursday to review a Texas federal judge's decision that barred the company from appealing a $40 million patent infringement verdict against it because its attorneys from Sidley Austin LLP and Davis Cedillo & Mendoza Inc. missed the appeal deadline.

AT&T filed a notice of appeal of U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia's Feb. 6 decision refusing to grant AT&T more time to appeal a verdict that it infringed streaming media patents owed by Two-Way Media LLC.
