Texas Justices Pass On $72M Rig Worker Insurance Suit

Law360, New York (February 14, 2014, 4:04 PM EST) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday brushed aside calls to reinstate a $72 million judgment for the family of a drilling rig worker killed on the job, leaving undisturbed a lower appeals court's ruling that labeled the judgment a sham and took the rig operator’s insurance carriers off the hook.
