PI Seeks Testimony Showing Fairchild Copied Patents

Law360, San Francisco (February 18, 2014, 8:21 PM EST) -- Power Integrations Inc. on Tuesday urged the California federal judge overseeing its $105 million patent infringement trial against Fairchild Semiconductor Inc. to allow it to introduce evidence of a prior jury verdict showing that its rival has a history of stealing Power Integrations' intellectual property on power supply chips.

During a jury recess Tuesday morning, Power Integrations revisited its motion to elicit testimony from Fairchild's witnesses that would reveal the company was found to infringe Power Integrations' patents in a prior trial.
