Tenn. Fuel Tax Unfair To Rail Carriers, Group Tells 6th Circ.

Law360, New York (February 18, 2014, 7:38 PM EST) -- The Association of American Railroads has lent its voice to a fight over the state of Tennessee's bid to continue collecting sales tax on railroads' diesel fuel purchases, telling the Sixth Circuit on Friday that the tax, which is not paid by motor carriers, discriminates against its members.
