Group Asks Court To Reconsider Cap-And-Trade Plan

Law360, New York (March 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An electricity industry group has asked a federal appellate court to reconsider its rejection of a plan to regulate mercury emissions at coal- and oil-fired power plants via a cap-and-trade system rather than a stricter provision of federal law.

The Utility Air Regulatory Group filed a petition Monday for an en banc rehearing of the case, New Jersey et al. v. EPA, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
