Celebrities Fight For UK Transaction Tax In YouTube Video

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 5:43 PM EST) -- As finance ministers met in Paris on Wednesday to discuss the proposed financial transaction tax in the European Union, one interest group released a futuristic video on YouTube starring celebrities to promote the idea.

The four-minute video, released by Oxfam, was made by Harry Potter director David Yates to take place in a hypothetical future where the tax is implemented in most of Europe but not the United Kingdom. As of Wednesday afternoon, the video has more than 93,000 views on YouTube.
