Oilfield Co. Asks Texas Justices To Nix Ex-Worker's Fee Award

Law360, Houston (February 19, 2014, 8:09 PM EST) -- An oilfield service company on Tuesday asked the Texas Supreme Court to throw out a six-figure attorneys’ fee judgment entered against it after a failed bid to enforce a former employee’s noncompete agreement, saying a jury should never have been allowed to assess the award.
