GSK Cleared To Appeal RICO Questions In Avandia Suits

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 4:47 PM EST) -- A Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday granted GlaxoSmithKline LLC’s bid to appeal an order sustaining racketeering claims against the company in three class actions accusing the drugmaker of hiding risks associated with diabetes drug Avandia in order to dupe health benefit payors into paying for the drug over cheaper alternatives.
