Investment Firm Seeks $672M Stake In Barnes & Noble

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 5:25 PM EST) -- Investment management firm G Asset Management LLC is hoping to pick up a 51 percent stake in Barnes & Noble Inc. in an offer that values the world’s largest bookseller at $1.32 billion, according to a Friday statement.

The proposal offers investors $22 per share, according to a statement, which represents a roughly 31 percent premium on the stock’s opening price Friday morning. The stake would weigh in at about $672 million.
