No 2nd Trial For Exec In DRAM Price-Fixing Suit: DOJ

Law360, New York (March 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice has dropped criminal charges against Hynix Semiconductor Inc. sales executive Gary Swanson over his alleged involvement in a dynamic random access memory price-fixing conspiracy after his 11-day trial ended in a mistrial earlier this month.

Judge Phyllis J. Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the DOJ’s request to dismiss the indictment against Swanson on Friday, just over two weeks after declaring a mistrial in the case on March 6.
