UK Atty Charged In Tax Scheme Can Depose Foreign Witnesses

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 4:29 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Friday ordered Rule 15 depositions of two foreign witnesses in the case of a British lawyer who is accused of helping the wealthy New York Seggerman family hide cash from tax collectors.

The lawyer, Michael J. Little, who is representing himself, participated in the status conference from Christchurch, England, where he returned to build up a defense after U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter Jr. allowed him to travel there in October.
