Ex-NJ Town Administrator Sues Atty For Malpractice

Law360, New York (February 24, 2014, 5:54 PM EST) -- A New Jersey town's former administrator is suing a lawyer who, while in between stints as the borough's attorney, allegedly failed to advise him that his employment pact with the municipality could be unenforceable.

Gary Bonacci contends in a Feb. 14 complaint in Bergen County Superior Court that Stephen F. Pellino of Basile Birchwale & Pellino LLP botched his representation as part of a 2010 contact with Ridgefield, N.J., that ran afoul of a state statute that controls the term of employment for borough administrators....
