Radio Frequency Chipmakers To Form $2B Firm In Merger

Law360, New York (February 24, 2014, 1:56 PM EST) -- Radio frequency device makers RF Micro Devices and TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. have agreed to merge to form a combined $2 billion entity, the two companies said Monday.

The merger will make a huge player in RFDs, which are used in mobile electronics, networks and the defense industry. After combining, the two hope to make $500 million per year in revenue.
