Fla. Bill Would Limit Development Permit Conditions

Law360, Miami (February 24, 2014, 8:49 PM EST) -- A Florida state representative on Monday introduced a bill that prohibits local governments from tying exactions or conditions onto development permits if the demands are not directly related to the planned development project.

Rep. W. Keith Perry, R-Gainesville, filed H.B. 1077, which limits the types of conditions local governmental entities can impose on development permits by requiring the conditions be tied to the direct impact of the proposed development.
