Netflix Inks Deal To Boost Access To Comcast Network

Law360, New York (February 24, 2014, 6:44 PM EST) -- Netflix Inc. reached a deal with Comcast Corp. on Sunday in which the popular video streaming service will gain direct access to Comcast's broadband Internet network, a deal that comes just a month after an appeals court struck down the Federal Communications Commission's net-neutrality rules.

The agreement will create a "more direct connection" between the two companies, they said, doing away with the intermediaries that have delivered Netflix's content to Comcast's servers in the past.
