Listeria Death Prompts Cheese Recall

Law360, New York (February 24, 2014, 6:51 PM EST) -- A Delaware food company recalled 16 varieties of cheese Sunday after many were linked to a Listeria monocytogenes outbreak which led to a death in California and seven illnesses reported in Maryland.

Kenton, Del.-based Roos Foods issued the voluntary recall of its Mexicana, Amigo, Santa Rosa De Lima and Anita brands, which were distributed through retail stores in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
