Klobuchar Wary Of Wireless Mergers Amid T-Mobile Rumors

Law360, New York (February 26, 2014, 5:54 PM EST) -- Senate antitrust leader Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., voiced skepticism Wednesday about further consolidation in the wireless industry amid rumors that Sprint Corp. was weighing a bid for rival T-Mobile US Inc.

Klobuchar applauded T-Mobile's recent re-emergence as a "maverick" in the wireless market after antitrust and telecommunications regulators blocked AT&T Inc.'s bid to acquire it, but she worried that the state of competition in the industry could still be at risk.
