Pa. Approves $35M In Funding For Rail Freight Projects

Law360, New York (February 25, 2014, 3:58 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett said on Tuesday that the State Transportation Commission has approved $34.7 million in state funding for 33 rail freight improvement projects that will help create and sustain tens of thousands of jobs.

The 33 projects — which include updates and improvements to an array of sites throughout the state — are expected to generate and maintain upwards of 43,000 jobs. Gov. Corbett praised the STC's decision to approve the $34.7 million in funding in a statement on Tuesday.
