GM Ignition Switch Recall Expanded To 1.3M Vehicles

Law360, Chicago (February 25, 2014, 6:25 PM EST) -- General Motors Co. on Tuesday added several car models to a recall over an ignition switch problem, nearly doubling the recall to over 1.3 million vehicles and saying the issue may have contributed to 13 deaths.

The recall, which began Feb. 13 with 2005-2007 Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 cars, now includes four more compact cars of varying model years between 2003 and 2007: the Saturn Ion, Chevrolet HHR, Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky, GM said in a statement.
