DOE Lab Hit With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (March 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sandia National Laboratories, which develops nuclear weapons parts for the U.S. Department of Energy, is facing a collective action for allegedly denying current and former employees overtime pay.

Steven Hill, a law enforcement officer at the lab, lodged the action on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico. He is accusing the Albuquerque-based lab of routinely employing workers for more than 40 hours a week and refusing to provide them with overtime compensation since 2005.
