Tesla Scouts Sites To Open $5B Car Battery Factory

Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 3:27 PM EST) -- Tesla Motors Inc. will launch a $4 billion to $5 billion factory in the Southwest to mass produce electric car batteries within the next three years, the company said Wednesday.

The electric car company, founded by tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, will invest $2 billion directly and seek the rest from undisclosed partners.
