Judge Reverses Precedex Patent Invalidation Following Deal

Law360, Los Angeles (February 27, 2014, 8:42 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Thursday vacated an order invalidating one of the patents asserted in Hospira Inc.'s suit challenging a bid by Sandoz Inc. for approval of a generic version of Precedex, following a settlement recently reached between the parties.

The deal, struck this past December, permits Sandoz to launch its generic version of the sedative next December.
