Cape Wind Opposition Group Sues FAA Over FOIA Request

Law360, New York (February 28, 2014, 5:00 PM EST) -- The Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, which opposes the planned Cape Wind project, sued the Federal Aviation Administration in D.C. federal court Thursday, alleging the FAA unlawfully withheld documents the environmental group sought in a Freedom of Information Act request nearly two years ago.

The Alliance seeks documents related to the FAA's technological upgrade — designed to solve potential issues of radar interference caused by wind turbines — of its Cape TRACON, or Terminal Radar Control, station in Falmouth, Mass.
