ITC Allows Tessera Patent Case To Proceed

Law360, New York (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A decision by the U.S. International Trade Commission will allow a patent infringement case filed by Tessera Technologies Inc. against electronics giants Motorola Inc., Qualcomm Inc., and others to proceed, Tessera disclosed Thursday.

The ITC lifted a stay on Tessera's action, overturning a recent ruling by an administrative law judge at the commission.

Tessera said it was orally informed of the decision by the ITC General counsel's office, and it has not yet received written notice, but it expects to receive it soon.
