Williams NYC Pipeline Expansion Passes Enviro Test

Law360, New York (February 28, 2014, 3:06 PM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Friday gave the environmental go-ahead to a planned expansion of Williams Partners LP's Transco natural gas pipeline that would increase transportation to utility company National Grid's system in Brooklyn and Queens, N.Y.

In a final environmental impact statement, the commission's environmental staff found that Transco's Rockaway Delivery Lateral Project, which involves constructing a new pipeline primarily located in the Atlantic Ocean, and Northeast Connector Project would have minimal adverse environmental impacts, which would mostly occur during the construction phase....
