In Blow To Sanofi, Judge Refuses To Bar Allegra Generics

Law360 (January 30, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Still recovering from slumped sales of its allergy treatment Allegra, French drug maker Sanofi-Aventis was dealt another blow in federal court Friday when a judge denied a motion by the company to enjoin generic rivals from marketing the drug.

Albany Molecular Research Inc. (AMRI), a partner of Sanofi-Aventis, acknowledged its disappointment with Judge Joseph A. Greenwald Jr.’s refusal to issue a preliminary injunction against four generic drug makers in the U.S. District Court for New Jersey.
