Fla. Appeals Court Asked To Block $1B Medicaid Contract

Law360, Miami (March 3, 2014, 7:24 PM EST) -- Care Access PSN LLC appealed a Florida agency's award of a $1 billion contract to a competitor to provide Medicaid coverage in South Florida, urging the state's Fourth District on Friday to exercise its all writs power to stop its implementation pending a legal resolution.

Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration last month awarded the contract to provide services for District 11, covering Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, under the state's new Statewide Managed Medical Assistance Program for Medicaid to Prestige Health Choice.
