Chevron Prevails Over 'Corrupt' $9.5B Amazon Pollution Award

Law360, New York (March 4, 2014, 12:00 PM EST) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday declared an unprecedented $9.5 billion Amazon pollution judgment against Chevron Corp. to be the product of an "egregious fraud" by attorney Steven Donziger and his Ecuadorean clients and prohibited enforcement of the award in the U.S.
