Sarkozy, Wife To Sue Ex-Aide Over Leaked Audio Tapes

Law360, New York (March 6, 2014, 2:40 PM EST) -- Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni, plan to file a breach of privacy lawsuit against a former aide after secret audio recordings of them were leaked on the Internet, their lawyers said Thursday.

The recordings were made by the couple’s former aide, Patrick Buisson, without their consent during Sarkozy’s 2007-2012 term as president. The lawyers said the couple will seek an injunction to prevent more of the recordings from being published, according to reports.
