Qualcomm will have a “do-over.” In March, the district judge vacated referral of six attorneys to the California State Bar for investigation and possible sanctions. He remanded the matter as to the six after determining that employee declarations filed by Qualcomm were exonerative of Qualcomm and criticized outside counsel, entitling them to defend themselves without the constraints of the attorney-client privilege.
