Bunn-O-Matic, Water Co. Sued Over Junk Fax Ads

Law360, New York (March 10, 2014, 1:13 PM EDT) -- Puritan Springs Water Inc., its parent company and coffee machine manufacturer Bunn-O-Matic Corp. were hit Thursday with a proposed class action accusing them of sending junk fax advertisements to other businesses in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

Plaintiff Mitchell D. Jacobs, doing business as Jacobs Law Firm, alleged Puritan, Waddell Inc. and Bunn-O-Matic sent the advertisements in an attempt to sell products offered by Bunn, as well as a coffee and water delivery service offered by Puritan Springs.
