Juniper's Patent Suit Against Palo Alto Ends In A Mistrial

Law360, New York (March 10, 2014, 7:26 PM EDT) -- A Delaware federal jury was unable to reach a verdict on whether Palo Alto Networks Inc. infringed rival Juniper Networks Inc.'s firewall technology patents, leading the judge on Friday to declare a mistrial.

The jury began deliberating Wednesday following a seven-day trial, and reached a verdict on only two of the three patents at issue. Because there was not a unanimous verdict on all three patents, U.S. District Judge Sue L. Robinson ruled that the entire case must end in a mistrial.
