De Blasio Taps Ex-SDNY Prosecutor As NYC Crime Policy Boss

Law360, New York (March 11, 2014, 2:48 PM EDT) -- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday tapped former federal prosecutor Elizabeth M. Glazer, a noted crime-control strategist, to head up city criminal justice policy including a departure from controversial stop and frisks used by the previous administration.

Glazer will serve as the senior criminal justice policy adviser to the mayor, overseeing citywide criminal justice policy and developing and implementing strategies across city agencies and partners to enhance public safety, reduce unnecessary incarceration and increase fairness, the mayor said.
