2 Pa. Lawmakers Rally For $12 Minimum Wage

Law360, Philadelphia (March 13, 2014, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania Sens. Daylin Leach, D-Montgomery, and Mike Stack, D-Philadelphia, unveiled plans Thursday to boost the state's minimum wage to $12 per hour, index it to inflation and eliminate the “second-tier” minimum wage for restaurant workers and others who accept tips.

Announcing the comprehensive minimum wage reform package against a backdrop of chain restaurants in Philadelphia, Leach and Stack said that the measures would be crucial to lift the hardest-working residents of Pennsylvania out of poverty.
