Northrop's Missile Defense Deal Now Worth $3.25B

Law360, Los Angeles (March 13, 2014, 4:31 PM EDT) -- Northrop Grumman Space and Mission Systems Corp. has been awarded additional funding in a now-$3.25 billion contract to research, test and evaluate the development of the U.S. ballistic missile defense system, the U.S. Department of Defense's Missile Defense Agency said Wednesday.

Northrop has received an additional $750 million, which brings the potential value of the 10-year contract from $2.5 billion to $3.25 billion, the Pentagon said in its latest rundown of contract announcements.
