Commerce Opts To Keep Duties On Chinese Steel-Making Product

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 6:21 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce came out in favor of preserving duty orders on a steel-making product from China and South Africa after finding that revoking them would likely lead to increased dumping, the agency said in a notice Thursday.

Following a five-month review, Commerce determined that Chinese and South African ferrovanadium producers would resume dumping the metal if duty orders were eliminated, according to a notice published in the Federal Register.
