NHTSA Finds No Danger In Jeep Liberty Window Switches

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 2:04 PM EDT) -- The U.S. National Highway Transportation Safety Administration said Sunday it is closing an investigation and won’t demand a recall of 2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles that allegedly were at risk of door fires.

According to NHTSA, at the opening of the Office of Defects Investigation’s inquiry in October, it identified two reports of fire near the vicinity of the power master window switch, located on the driver’s side door panel, on model year 2012 Jeep Liberty vehicles.
