Starbucks Gives Up Exclusive License In Amended Keurig Deal

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 4:04 PM EDT) -- Starbucks Corp. agreed to give up the exclusive license for Keurig Green Mountain Inc.'s super-premium coffee in exchange for an expanded selection of Keurig's K-Cup coffee packs, under a newly restructured deal the companies announced Friday.

Starbucks and Keurig Green Mountain said they've restructured their existing five-year agreement, which was reached last year, to continue to expand Starbucks' range of K-Cup pack offerings and to promote expanded consumer choice as Keurig continues to build its Keurig brewing system.
