EU Antitrust Leader Says Google Deal Unlikely To Be Revised

Law360, New York (March 18, 2014, 1:32 PM EDT) -- The European Commission antitrust chief told the European Parliament on Tuesday that his office is unlikely to revise a settlement with Google Inc. over the search engine giant’s method for displaying results from rival services.

Speaking before an economic affairs committee, Competition Commissioner Joaquin Almunia said European antitrust authorities would probably not make changes to a deal requiring Google to display search results from three rivals alongside its own specialized promotions.
