OECD Calls For Comments On Tax Loophole Action Plan

Law360, New York (March 19, 2014, 2:50 PM EDT) -- The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on Wednesday solicited public comment on two separate discussion drafts of new rules that stem hybrid mismatch arrangements, which are agreements to exploit differences in the tax treatment on transfers of financial instruments between countries.

The discussion drafts are the latest releases in the OECD’s Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, or BEPS, which includes 15 ways to address BEPS in a comprehensive manner, setting deadlines to implement the actions.
