Broadcom Settles Modem Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 2, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Broadcom Corp. has resolved an infringement suit brought against it by a California-based patent-holding firm over high-speed modem devices.

On Wednesday, Judge Jeremy Fogel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California dismissed with prejudice all claims and counterclaims between Townshend Intellectual Property LLC and the Irvine, Calif.-based semiconductor maker after they entered a joint stipulation. Both parties agreed to pay their own legal fees and costs.
