Bed Bath & Beyond Hit With Overtime Suit

Law360 (April 3, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A store employee of Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has launched a proposed class action against the home furnishings giant, claiming it failed to pay overtime wages.

Plaintiff Gloria Green's lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, claims that Bed Bath & Beyond violated the Fair Labor Standards Act in not paying time-and-a-half to her, and other similarly situated employees, for hours worked in excess of 40 per week during one or more work weeks.
