Texas Justices Deny Oil Co.'s Bid For Sensitive Exxon Docs

Law360, New York (March 21, 2014, 9:39 PM EDT) -- The Texas Supreme Court on Friday denied for the second time an oil and gas developer’s petition to force Exxon Mobil Corp. to disclose privileged documents in order to evaluate the propriety of a settlement reached in a multibillion-dollar litigation.

Trade Exploration Corp., Bryan Wagner and others, who agreed to indemnify Exxon for the litigation, requested a rehearing of the petition in October following the high court’s first denial of the petition.
