Lenovo Pays $100M For Unwired Planet Patents

Law360, Los Angeles (March 21, 2014, 3:55 PM EDT) -- Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group Ltd. announced Thursday it has reached a $100 million cash deal to buy a portfolio of mobile technology patents from Unwired Planet Inc. and license the rest of Unwired Planet's patents, on the heels of its $3 billion purchase of Google Inc.'s Motorola Mobility unit in late January.
